Membership
To ensure the integrity of the service at Where’s My Tip we’ve got some rules in place that our members and other users must follow. Violating these rules may mean you’ve broken the terms of service and can result in us terminating our relationship. But, we always try to work with you to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
Scope of Service
The intent of Where’s My Tip is to make travel more convenient by eliminating the need to carry cash for tips. This service is intended primarily for use in tipping travel related service professionals. Acceptable uses include the tipping of: bell staff, porter/doorman, valet, concierge, and housekeeping.
Use of Where’s My Tip is expressly prohibited for tipping wait staff and bartenders. Add tips for those service people to your bill. Currently the only acceptable uses for Where’s My Tip in a restaurant or bar setting are for the valet and coat check.
We reserve the right to modify the scope of service and acceptable/un-acceptable uses for Where’s My Tip as needed in the future.
Warranty
There is no warranty or guarantee on any of the services provided by Where’s My Tip. We will make our best effort to make sure your experience as a member is a smooth one, but by agreeing to these Terms of Service you agree to hold Where’s My Tip harmless for any loss (financial or otherwise) incurred through the use of this service.
Payments
In order to use this service members pay an annual fee for membership (currently $100) that includes a certain number of tip cards (currently 100). Once you’ve paid for a yearly membership (or any other interval), there are no refunds.Additional tip cards may be purchased in increments of 50 cards for a fee (currently $0.50/card)
Cancellation
You can cancel at anytime, however there are no refunds for unused membership . At the moment, all membership payments are done through PayPal. Cancelling the service is done through their payments interface. When you cancel the service, your service will not be renewed at the end of your current membership period.
Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate the service of a member at any time for any reason if the member is not adhering to these Terms of Service and a resolution cannot be reached. We also reserve the right to terminate your membership if your ratio of tip requests to tips paid falls below a certain %. Only give out tip cards if you truly intend to pay the tip.
If we feel that you are abusing the service or, using Where’s My Tip in a manner for which we do not intend the service to be used, your membership may be terminated.
We hope this never happens, but if in an extremely rare case it does happen, we’ll refund the prorated portion of your unused membership.
